GTA Online got the A Safehouse in the Hills update on December 10, 2025. This update lets you buy big fancy houses for the first time. Get Your Own Big House
The main thing in this update is big houses. You can now buy fancy homes in three different spots around Los Santos. Each house comes with special rooms, outdoor space, and useful things for your crime business.
House Spots and Prices
There are three houses you can buy from the Prix Luxury Real Estate website:
- Tongva Estate: In Tongva Hills with ocean views. Starting price is $11.5 million.
- Vinewood Residence: Close to the famous Vinewood sign. Starting price is $12.2 million.
- Richman Property: In the rich Richman area. Starting price is $12.8 million.
You can buy all three houses if you want. You do not have to pick just one. With all extras, a house with everything costs over $17.5 million. These are the most expensive houses GTA Online has ever had.
House Parts and Extra Stuff
Each house has many rooms and things you can change. Here is what you can add to your house:

- Trophy cases to show your prizes
- Private hair and beauty room
- Dog and cat areas
- Nice garages with room for many cars
- Indoor car stands to show your best car
- Gun room for weapons
- Car fix shop for changes
- Helicopter pad for quick trips

- Safe room for keeping valuable stuff
- TV and movie room
- Game room
- Yoga space
Extra Stuff You Can Buy:
- Party setup
- Guards team ($1.75 million)
- Better car fix shop with special changes
The guards are really useful. When you buy guards, your team keeps all your businesses safe from police attacks. This means less trouble when you are earning money.
Computer Helper
Every house comes with a free computer helper. You can pick from three different ones:
- Angel
- Haviland
- OG
All three helpers do the same work but talk in different ways. Your computer helper can:
- Make one of your businesses work faster for a short time
- Take you quickly to any house or business you own
- Help you have parties at your house
- Tell you when guards stop police attacks
If you own more than one house, the same computer helper works at all of them.
Michael De Santa Comes Back
Michael De Santa from GTA 5’s story shows up in GTA Online for the first time. You can play a new job called Home Sweet Home where you work with Michael to keep your house safe from bad guys. This job finishes the main story of the A Safehouse in the Hills update.
New Story Jobs
The update has five new story jobs. Avi Schwartzman calls you about a self driving taxi company called KnoWay. Your job is to stop their plans for a spy system. These jobs can be done alone or with up to four players.

Mission Making Tool
A Safehouse in the Hills has a strong Mission Making tool that lets you build your own jobs. This is way better than the old making tool that only made races and fights.

The new Mission Making tool lets you:
- Make full story jobs with video clips
- Go into buildings that were closed before
- Put bad guys and friends anywhere
- Make your own goals
- Make paths where players pick what to do
- Add up to 20 different spots per job
- Change how hard it is
Rockstar put in five example jobs that show what the tool can do. You should play these teaching jobs first to learn how it works. Then you can open them in the maker to see how Rockstar made them.
